​​​TBR 3-Step Rewind is beneficial for those experiencing symptoms related to:

Severe morning sickness, leaving emotional scars that can linger even after pregnancy

The emotional effects of birth-related trauma can show up in many ways, including flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, panic attacks, guilt, anger, sadness, low mood, or even difficulties with bonding to your baby or partner.

A Note on Suitability:
3-Step-Rewind is designed to support people who are dealing with perinatal-related trauma. However, if you have been diagnosed with a mental health condition outside of anxiety or depression, such as severe PTSD, 3-Step-Rewind may not be the right fit. TBR 3-Step Rewind is designed specifically for you to help you process and release the emotional weight of your unique experience. Together, we’ll gently explore how these events have impacted you, and work towards freeing you from their emotional hold. You won’t have to relive anything you’re not ready for. Instead, we’ll focus on shifting the emotional response and reframing painful memories, so you can look towards the future with confidence and peace, without those triggers holding you back.

Will I have to relive my experience in detail?
No, you won’t. TBR 3-Step Rewind is all about shifting your emotional response, not about revisiting painful memories over and over again. You’ll be in control, and we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.

What if my experience feels too small or insignificant?
If it still affects you, it matters. Every experience is valid, and you deserve the space and support to process it. Everyone’s journey is different, and you’re not alone in what you’re feeling. No experience is too small to seek support for.

How quickly will I notice a difference?
Many people notice a shift after just a few sessions. You may feel a newfound sense of calm, clarity, and relief — a little lighter and more in control than before. But healing is unique to each person, and we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.


Step 1. A Gentle Introduction to Healing

In our first session, we’ll begin with a gentle introduction, where you can share your experience if you feel ready but there’s absolutely no pressure to do so. This step is about understanding how past memories might still be affecting you, and I’m here to listen without judgment.
Together, we’ll explore how you want to feel moving forward, and begin the process of reimagining life free from the emotional weight of these memories. To close, I’ll guide you through a deeply relaxing exercise, allowing your mind and body to release tension. You’ll also receive a personalised recording to practice at home, helping you continue your journey of healing.

Step 2. Rewind: Releasing Emotional Attachments and Shifting Perspective
About a week later, we’ll meet again to build on the progress you’ve made.
I’ll guide you into a deeply relaxed state, creating a space where you feel completely safe and calm. From here, we’ll work together through a visualisation designed to gently “rewind” your memory of the event, helping to detach it from any distressing emotions. This process makes it easier to process the experience with comfort, instead of carrying it as emotional weight.
While in this relaxed state, you’ll have the opportunity to shift your perspective, allowing you to see the event from a new, empowered vantage point. We’ll also begin to visualise you handling similar situations in the future with confidence, resilience, and emotional clarity.

Duration: Approximately 60-90 Minutes​​


Step 3: Reflecting and Moving Forward with Confidence
​
10 to 14 days later, we’ll meet for a final session to reflect on the insights and transformations you’ve experienced. This is your chance to see just how far you’ve come and to celebrate the progress you’ve made.
I’ll guide you through a relaxation exercise designed to help you carry this calm into your daily life, and you’ll receive a personalised recording to use at home, reinforcing your newfound sense of peace.
This final step ensures the process feels complete, and you’ll leave with a lighter heart, a more positive outlook, and a greater sense of calm and confidence to move forward in life.

The Science Bit ... If You Want to Know
​
The TBR Three-Step Rewind Technique is a gentle yet powerful way to help people release trauma, including birth trauma, and even overcome phobias.
​
Our brains are wired to keep us safe and when we face danger, our fight-or-flight response kicks in. This is a natural survival mechanism, helping us react quickly in moments of real threat. Once the danger is gone, our brain usually switches off that alert system, but after trauma, it’s like the brain gets stuck in emergency mode, staying on high alert even when no real danger is present. Imagine a smoke alarm that keeps sounding long after the fire has gone out.

The Rewind Technique helps to reset this alarm, allowing your thinking brain to reassure your emotional brain that the danger has passed. While the memory of the event remains, the distress fades, allowing you to process past experiences with greater ease and move forward with a renewed sense of calm and control.
